We are thrilled to share with you the exciting developments at Gosfield, which mark a year of remarkable progress and success.

Together, with our dedicated team and the newly hired General Manager under the guidance of the new board, we have achieved significant milestones, bringing positive changes to our cooperative in 2023. One of our primary goals for 2023 was to enhance customer satisfaction, and we are delighted to report substantial progress in this regard. Our fiber optic upgrade project, aimed at providing improved internet  speed, enhanced reliability, and access to IPTV services, has been a key focus. Originally planned as a 3-year endeavour, we successfully reworked the project to be 2 years, and we are on track to complete 70% of our mainline fiber with 35% of customer homes upgraded. We  are well ahead of schedule and within budget.

In addition to infrastructure improvements, we implemented a new customer satisfaction measurement process. Over 250 surveys have been completed, revealing a staggering 94% satisfaction rate with Gosfield services. Your positive feedback motivates us to continually strive for excellence. Our commitment to back-to-basics business practices led to several cost reduction initiatives in 2023.

Through prudent actions such as cost-cutting measures, contract renegotiations, and moving financial institutions, we successfully announced the issuance of a patronage payment — a significant milestone after nearly nine years. In 2023, Gosfield proudly upheld its enduring commitment to community support. As a prominent community leader, we extended our assistance to schools, charities, sports clubs, community events, and families in need through generous donations. Notably, our contributions this year exceeded the impressive amounts donated in each of the past three years, showcasing our continued dedication to making a positive impact. As we move into the new year, we want to remind you of some upcoming changes in 2024.

  1. The Gosfieldtel.com email service will be retired on December 31, 2024.
  2. Starting January 1, 2024, we will be transitioning to paperless invoicing. This applies to customers with internet services who haven't signed up to go paperless. A nominal fee of $2.00 per month will be applied to cover paper, postage, and labor costs. Alternatively, paper copies will be made available for free and can be pickup at our office. We welcome customers to join our convenient Pre-authorized Payment program, removing the burden of remembering to make timely payments.

Holiday Hours - our Office and Operations will be closed on:
December 22, 25, 26, 29, and January 1.

2) Annual General Meeting: Join us on March 26, 2024, at Cottam United Church for our Annual General Meeting. Registration starts at 6:30, and the meeting commences at 7:00.

3) Annual Holiday Desk Calendars are available for pick up at our office.
